Here is the newsletter I sent out to my customers last night. I was very positive and optimistic in my last email but I have to admit that I'm still pretty upset by the whole thing. I have a client base of 500 customers! And I know a lot of them make purchases from/through me because of the personal connection/relationship that I've built with them over the past two years. I know Shade can survive on their own, but i think they will see a substantial loss with the rest of us "dissolved" over the next year. Grrrrr. Anyway, I didn't include a link to my samples- I'll do that after this weekend is over. I hardly feel three days was enough time to get that managed as well so it will just have to wait.
- I'm glad we still have a way to chat and stay involved w/ one another! I miss you girls already ; (

We just received an important teleconference phone call from the CEO of Shade Clothing. Due to the financial strain on our economy, it should come as no surprise that we have had to make some drastic cuts in an effort to keep this business going. Shade Clothing has made the difficult decision of dissolving the Personal Shopper program by the end of this week. Believe me no one is more shocked than I am, and though I received the news just a few short hours ago, I don't want to waste any more time in getting this information out to the rest of you. On December 21, 2008 my PS code will be deactivated (as will my e-mail account address) and you will no longer be able to place orders receiving the usual 5% discount, and I will no longer be able to place orders for you in an effort to reduce shipping costs.
Of course Shade Clothing will be open for business and ultimately this shouldn't change much for you. They have assured me that my customers will be well cared for during this transition and that ultimately you are the ones who will benefit from these changes, (keeping costs low while maintaining high quality products).
Shade Clothing has an entire website FULL of CLEARANCE items, many in the single digits (great for the pocketbook!) If you have been waiting to place an order, I'd like to encourage you do so online by using my PS code one last time CAL7266 to receive 5% off your order (or 10% if it is your first online order) by this SATURDAY, DECEMBER 20TH-- which will be your last opportunity, not to mention my last paycheck from Shade!
